The galvanized union is for steam and water working pressure up to 150 lb. It has a brass to iron ball joint seat and the male end of seat is made with radius to insure ideal contact if piles are out of line. This is recommended for all ordinary plumbing and steam fitting jobs. It's scientifically designed to reduce weight without sacrificing strength.
