Polypropylene is an economical rope made from a lightweight fiber material. A distinct feature is the rope's ability to float which finds many applications in swimming pool markers or marine use. The rope is flexible but does not offer much resistance to stretch. Polypropylene is resistant to most chemicals. It can be spliced to add any necessary hardware. Where it is necessary to have a large diameter rope for handling purposes, polypropylene is ideal due to it's low weight and minimal water absorption. Additional applications include camping or other general use.
